I finally received the extension tubes i ordered. This is a close up of the flower i took a picture of on day one. These are kind of difficult to use, but i’ll keep practicing.

I decided to start a project. For 3 months i will be taking one picture a day and posting it. This is todays photo. Not much, but i’m getting over a nasty cold and just was kind of lazy in picking something. This is right outside of my door.

This lake is easily the most beautiful lake i have ever seen! The water is the most amazing color. People usually do not swim in it because its cold. In the summer the water level is high and in the winter months its very low. Here are a few pictures from one of our trips up that way.

So i realized that its been nearly a whole year since my last post. I figured i should explain myself.

May we moved from our house in Maniago, to a house in Sedrano. I do miss living close to the mountains, but love being able to run the washer/dryer and other things at the same time. I also love not having to worry about getting another $800 gas bill. I miss the US and will never ever complain that a bill is too high when we move back, i now know how bad it can be. LOL

June we had a friend and her mom fly in and visit. We toured a lot of the local areas and showed them all of our favorite spots. And our big trip was to Rome. I have to say that was the highlight of my year. Rome is so incredible! I’ll put a couple pictures up here, but be sure to check my flickr for all of the pictures.

I cant wait to go back!!!

July was kind of boring. August went super fast. September was spent getting ready for the kids birthdays. September and October my daughter was in soccer, which really sucks up time. Plus i started going back to school.

I like that i have been staying busy. 1 year of Italy done, 3 more to go!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photography a newborn. Those who know me know that my passion is maternity and newborn photography. Here are a few pictures from that session.

We went to Fregona Saturday with a couple friends. They have some caves there. Not really what i was expecting since my idea of caves is like Mammoth Cave in Kentucky (we really should have stopped there during one of our many trips from FL to PA). The cave in Fregona is NOTHING like the one in Kentucky. I dont know for sure, but i think maybe the one in Fergona is manmade. 

Anyway there really some pretty waterfalls.  I managed to take pictures of them using a slow shutter speed and no tripod. Kind of surprised they didnt come out blurry since i tend to shake a little.

Saturday we decided to go to Venice. I’m not one to just get up and go some place with no plans, but for whatever reason i was actually ok with it. So we headed to Sacile and caught a train to Venice.

We had a really great time there, even though we did have a few issues like getting off the train at the wrong stop and my son lost his jacket. We all were pretty sore the following day. Next time we go we will not be taking the stroller. It was a big pain to have to lift it up all the stairs.
